SOCIOLENS INTERPRETATION
The concept is genealogical/historical and is easily distorted if forced into a fixed causal mechanism/prediction template.

Governmentality is used here as a genealogical and sensitizing analytic for historically situated rationalities, knowledges, techniques and procedures through which conduct becomes governable. In SocioLens it is not treated as a universal causal variable whose truth can be established by one empirical Claim. Its value lies in directing attention to how problems of governing are formulated, what forms of knowledge and expertise are made authoritative, and how techniques of administration make particular forms of conduct thinkable and actionable. A Governmentality page therefore carries its intellectual work mainly in prose. Empirical Claims may be RELEVANT_TO, APPLIES or INSTANTIATES where they illuminate a specific governmental technique or rationality. SUPPORTS_INTERPRETATION requires a separately articulated, empirically vulnerable interpretation and may not be inferred merely because an institution uses data, classification or AI. The relation among governmentality, sovereignty, discipline and biopolitics remains historically and interpretively situated. The proof must demonstrate that this Concept can render source lineage, orientation, relations and substantial prose without requiring a universal mechanism, prediction, falsifier or theory score.
